The Claims Reserves and Litigation service is provided by Protos Check, a Protos Group company, an independent third-party inspection body (Type A), accredited by Accredia according to the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC17020 standard.
Protos performs analysis and evaluation of reserves under construction (Construction Claims) on behalf of General Contractor/Contractors as well as Employer/Private Contractor.
Protos Check is the only company in Italy with the accreditation of Independent Inspection Body for the validation of reservations in Public Procurement and has been performing the service since 2012.
Protos' activity is aimed at expressing an independent opinion, impartial with respect to the approaches and positions of the parties, based on the analysis of the various elements that characterize the compensation claims expressed, their reliability and admissibility, as well as their consistency with the obligations and contractual terms in force.
Where the assessment concerns the specific issue of the economic quantification of reserves, the reasonable value of which constitutes, in fact, an asset for the entity that formulated them, Protos expresses an assessment of their reasonableness, evaluating their economic impact in terms of “probability curves” and associating the corresponding amount ranges with different probabilities of success (or a single one, if requested).
Protos operates in various dispute resolution scenarios, such as amicable agreements, arbitration, and settlements.
