History

At the initiative of Assicurazioni Generali and a number of Banks and Industrial Groups, Protos Spa is founded with widespread shareholding.

Management and KPMG enters as shareholders. The Company is opening up to new competencies and areas of business, such as infrastructure, real estate and renewable energy.

Protos’ growth runs on the tracks of developing and supporting Banks and Insurers on project finance.

From the spin-off of BU Real Estate comes Protos Check, an accredited inspection body for risk monitoring and control in the engineering works sector.

Establishment of Protos NPE unit (now Protos LDM) focused on data remediation and data maintenance in banking & finance.

2018

Specialization through corporation and establishment of Protos Energy, focused on generation technologies, energy markets and regulation.

2020

Establishment of the Protos Loss Adjusting unit dedicated to domestic and foreign claims management activities in highly complex settings.

Specialization through corporation and establishment of Protos Engineering dedicated to professional services for energy efficiency and earthquake-proofing.

2022

Specialization through corporatization and establishment of Protos Real Estate, dedicated to real estate project development, appraisal and high surveillance, due diligence and M&A, project monitoring.

HIG finalizes the acquisition of a controlling interest in Protos in partnership with the Company’s management.
